Zeus has zero commissioned loan officers, so that cost doesn't exist. Second, as a licensed wholesale broker, Zeus accesses the same institutional rates your bank uses internally — without the retail markup your bank adds on top. You get the rate the bank charges itself, not you.
What are the actual fees? Any hidden costs?+
No hidden costs. Zeus charges standard third-party fees — appraisal, title, escrow — that every lender passes through. What we don't charge is loan officer commission. You'll receive a full Loan Estimate within 3 business days of applying that itemises every single fee before you commit. California law requires it. Will getting a quote hurt my credit score?+
No. Getting a rate quote requires zero hard credit pull. Your score is completely safe. A hard inquiry only happens when you formally apply — and only with your explicit written consent. When you shop multiple lenders within a 45-day window, FICO counts all mortgage inquiries as a single inquiry. Rate shopping never hurts your score as much as people fear.
Will I get phone calls or sales pressure?+

How fast can I actually close?+
Zeus averages 15 days from completed application — the national average is 43 days. We're faster because we collect every document upfront before submitting to underwriting, eliminating the back-and-forth that stalls most loans. Day 1: application. Days 2–3: rate lock and doc collection. Days 4–10: underwriting. Days 11–15: closing.
Is Zeus a real licensed lender? How do I verify?+
Yes — and we encourage you to verify it. Zeus Group is licensed by the California Department of Real Estate (DRE #02176952) and registered with the NMLS (#2316811). Verify both at nmlsconsumeraccess.org in 60 seconds. We are a licensed mortgage broker — not a lender — which is specifically why we can access wholesale rates retail banks cannot offer you directly.
Can I use Zeus if I'm self-employed?+
Yes — self-employed borrowers are one of Zeus's strengths. Traditional banks struggle with non-W2 income because their underwriting is rigid. Zeus works with 20+ wholesale lenders simultaneously, so if one lender's guidelines don't fit your income documentation, another's will. We work with 1099 contractors, business owners, freelancers, and bank-statement income borrowers.
